Little Marlow v Pinner Cricket Club Saturday 1st XI on Sat 09 Jul 2016 at 13.00
Pinner Cricket Club Lost by 6 wickets

Match report
We turned up at little Marlow today en mass to find the groundsman, mowing, rolling and marking out the strip for today's game we were at least there for half an hour before the home teams first few players arrived to open the clubhouse and start there duties.daniel didn't have to decide what to do today as the home team skips won the toss and invited us to bat.alan carter 16 and jack smith opened and unfortunately in the 2nd over jack departed clean bowled to bring Norman williams to the wicket who wasn't going to be dominated as he opened up as alan played a supporting role and a 49 partnership for the 2nd wicket resulted ,however just as alan was ready to party he was caught in the slips 54 for 2 alan batted 40 balls for 16 well earned runs.it didn't take a lot to work out that we would need between 230/250 today on what I was told was a good batting track.raj pandian came out and him and Norman dug in putting on 44 so that we were now 96 for 2 at 25 overs and looking well placed for the runs we thought we needed .raj batted 44 balls for 22 before he was out at 96 for 3.enter Saif khan who was run out on Nelson oh dear 111 for 4 .suddenly we were 119 for 5 then disastrously Norman 55 in 90 Balls 131 minutes 8 X 4 departed and our top 6 was all back in the hutch at 119 for 6.worse was to come as we disastrously slumped to 123 for 8 so we had lost 6 wickets for 27 runs.salman moeeniddin applied himself before departing at 138 for 9 bringing felix hoh 18 and Daniel 11 not out putting on 25 for the 10th wicket before pinner succumbed to 163 all out in the 4 3rd over. With 57 overs to bat little Marlow well fancied it as I'm sure they were well happy to get us out for 163.daniel opened with mateen choudhry who struck in the first over and himself with the old ball before bringing the 100 per cent trier who gives his all felix into the attack and taking the new ball .number 3 anwar mahmood aggressively went on the attack with 36 in 39 balls before felix sorted him at 48 for 2.opener arfan sharif had dug in and despite regular bowling changes he was to be the anchor man in little Marlows run chase.salman moeenidden bowled an excellent spell and was rewarded with 2 well deserved wickets finally taking sharif

for 58 in 118 balls 140 minutes but with 17 overs left to bat at 166 for 4 the home team took the victory with what let's just say was good shot selection and application at the crease which unfortunately our team fell short of.today we have had a set back it's gone now and with 7 games left to play we must move on learn from and try our best collectively not to repeat so onwards and upwards c Mon you lambs move on to holyport cc at montesole next saturday.at games end home captain tahir rashid said to me what a credit peter brown our umpire was and how with other clubs he hadn't found that I thought both umpires home eric Atkinson and peter brown were excellent
