Match report An extremely hot day today at winchmore hill penn near amersham and 4 players in 3 separate cars not at the ground,who arrived just as daniel went out to toss the coin made I felt Daniels mind up that if he won the toss he was going to bat.That is what happened and alan carter 44 in 83 balls and Norman 24 in 43 balls both did their jobs putting on 45 for the first wicket and then raj pandian at 3 36 in 73 balls with alan departing at 87 2nd wicket down.enter abdul majeed who'd been on a bit of a barren run recently but he certainly came to the fore today.abdul was not feeling so well and Daniel was thinking of retiring him ill but then recovered his appetite to give the wwcc bowlers a torrid time with what we know abdul is more than capable of destructive hitting. At 2nd drinks break pinner were 113 for 2 off 32 overs ,then abdul with raj anchoring made powerful hits and at 168 for 3 raj departed A further 48 was put on with salman moeeniddin and then 27 unbroken with nevan o sullivan 9 not out with a big 6 included as pinner closed on 245 for 4 after 52 overs abdul with 113 not out in 87 balls 104 minutes 16 X 4 4 X 6 2 X 4 included with change to left hand bat very much applauded by all of us..pinner had scored 133 off those 20 overs home spinner mike price 2 for 53 was the pick of the home bowling attack.whcc had 48 overs at just over 5 an over and their skipper fancied they had the batsmen to chase down the target.daniel and mateen choudhry bowled the first 7 overs which whcc successfully negotiated before bringing on felix hoh and asif khan,.opener left handed Russell Turner was taking the game to pinner and after felix had been taken out of the attack it was abdul 1 for 53 off 11 overs who made the breakthrough at 99 for 1 23 overs.asif struck 113 for 2 then salman moeeniddin joined the attack and he produced an excellent spell with good support from asif khan 2 for 48 off 15 overs very good figures in the games context. Turner 95 in 103 balls 10 X 4 4 X 6 150 minutes held wwcc together but from 152 for 2 off 38 overs ,salman with a 5 wicket hall in tandem with asif reduced wwcc to 178 for 8 46 overs ,salman 5 for 30 off 11 overs.in fact in salman last over a snick to raj pandian had pinner elated till they realised peter brown was signalling a no ball.and it ended as a draw with wwcc on 183 for 8 48 overs .All in all no complaints today some very good performances from the team on what was such an energy sapping sun shining hot day
