Match report The first X1 travelled to the lee with a strong team today and on winning the toss Daniel Langan invited the lee to bat first.asif Khan and harsha poovaih opened the bowling and soon reduced the lee with good accurate line and length bowling to 33 for 2 off 12 overs.14 year old Colt Ben Harris coming in at 3 batted excellently for the lee and took on the Pinner bowling attack impressively .asif struck again 46 for 3 14 overs but then the lee recovered to 76 for 3 before again asif struck twice in 2 balls 76 for 5 20 overs.salman moeeniddin then joined the attack and he also struck twice in the 25th over 84 for 7. Asif again knocked back the stumps 85 for 8 26 overs to take his haul to 5 wickets all clean bowled .salman struck again with harsha taking the final wicket that of young Colt Harris 45 in 79 balls 108 minutes 6x 4 1 x 6 to leave the lee 95 all out in 31 point 5 overs and Pinner with 68 overs to score the runs needed for victory .pinners 3 wicket takers bowled excellent spells with asif Khan 15 overs 4 maidens 5 wickets for 40 runs,harsha 8point 5 overs 4 maidens 2 wickets for 18 runs and salman 6 overs 3 maidens 3 wickets for 7 runs 7 clean bowled batsmen bore testament to our impressive bowling attack.pinner went straight out to bat with Norman williams and raj pandian opening and it was Norman who took a liking to the opening quickie with attacking,positively aggressive batting .raj departed at 18 for 1 enter Jonny hymers who played a supporting role at first as Norman 40 in 32 balls 7 x 4 1 x 6 went about his business with aplomb.norman departed at 50 and tea was taken shortly after at 54 for 2 10 overs.jonny struck 3 X 4 but departed in the 2nd over after tea an excellent catch at deep point by Young Harris for 12 60 for 3 .hari ramchandran had come in at 4 and batting sensibly holding an end up just what was required in the run chase ,Abdul majeed came in at 5 and his first 2 balls went for 6 and 4 then he departed for 19 in 11 balls 1 x4 2 X 6 .jack tucker 5 not out came in at 6 and hit a glorious cover drive to the boundary and hari 18 not out saw Pinner to a 6 wicket victory at 97 for 4 off 17 point 5 overs .The experienced left armer opening bowler Geoff sussum bowled well for the lee to take 3 for 33 off 8 overs but talking to him after the match and congratulating him on the spell he replied we didn't get enough runs to make a game of it.A good day today for Pinner an excellent tea served up by the lee and a game played in good spirit with Leeroy Rogers and the lee's Colin treadaway umpiring it excellently and 25 points for our win well done all
