Match report Akil Butt hit 55 and took three catches to end Southall's terrible start to the season on Saturday. Akil's fine performance helped the Middlesex Cricketers League club beat Pinner by four wickets - their first win of the season. The result comes as a welcome relief to Southall, who had played seven matches without victory this season.

On Saturday the improvement seen in recent performances bore fruition when Pinner were restricted to 138/9. Butt then stepped in to hit 55 and Amajit Bassi 23 to guide Southall to a four-wicket victory on 139/6.
