Pinner Cricket Club Saturday 1st XI v Kenton 1 on Sat 01 Jun 1991 at 1300
Match was Drawn

Match report Kenton were unlucky not to force a win after having by far the better of their Middlesex Cricketers League derby game with Pinner on Saturday. Mark Giffin hit a superb century, his first league ton, and skipper Tim Holton made a fine 56 in an excellent opening stand of 140 for Kenton. And with Steve Slade keeping the runs flowing with an unbeaten 56 in double quick time, the home side were able to declare with an impressive 237/1.

Pinner's reply never got going and at 89/6 they looked done for and heading for a massive defeat. But then John Williams (31) and Andrew Jackson (31) batted for over an hour in a partnership of 64 runs to defy Kenton and in a close finish Pinner just held on for a draw, closing with 168/9. Alex Singleton was the pick of the Kenton bowlers, taking 5/56, while Ian Scott took 3/37.
