The twin spin attack of Pinner's Chris Jenkins and Alastair Bell and a fine spell from John Williams whose 4/31 earned him the man of the match award was the prime reason Sudbury Court were restricted to 154/8 off their 45 overs. Despite being dropped off the first ball of the innings, a patient 52 from Ian Cortis, supported by 35 from Mike Christelow and 25 from Alastair Bell saw Pinner to victory in the final over with six wickets to spare.
