Match report Pinner 2's travelled to the picturesque ground of Winchmore Hill, arriving early due to the PennFest in the next field.
Losing the toss, the Lambs took to the field and got off to a great start, with WH 18-3, John Hoh (3-46) and Nicholas Lawrence (2-35) doing the early damage. The Hill recovered as bowlers were rotated, with only skips (3-62) picking up wickets. Excellent fielding restricted WH to 226-8, which was a gettable score, especially given the short boundary on one side.
However after a fine tea, Pinner were soon 44-3, with Robert Fells (14), Rohitesh Dharwan (8) and Salman Moeeniddin (12) back on the pavilion. Cyrus Barrett(25) and Rob Bonneywell (56*) steadied the ship but once Cyrus went it was going to be a difficult ask as WH were bowling extremely well.
In the end the Lambs batted out for a draw, finishing on 171-7 against a strong side, which was no disgrace.
A fine team performance where everyone played their part, was rewarded with a good draw.
Well done to all that played today, an excellent performance on the pitch and in the spirit shown!
