Pinner 1st x1s captain Daniel Langan won the toss and put visitors braywood 2nd x1 in to bat at montesole and it was to reap almost instant rewards as inderjeet gahunia took 2 early wickets as braywood found themselves 15 for 2.felix hoh had opened from the top end left arm over fast called up from the 2nd x1 with a fiery spell of controlled bowling ,aggressive and accuracy.felix had played some first team last season before returning to the 2nd x1.i have to say this was the best I have seen Felix bowl and it was obvious that braywood didn't fancy his bowling as inderjeet gahunia took 2 Catches off Felix to further deplete

braywood to 21 for 4 with pinner well on top.Daniel after they had bowled 7 overs spells replaced felix with asif khan and Inderjeet with himself and with the braywood skipper 10 runs in 65 balls digging in they had doubled there score when pinner struck again 42 for 5.pinner bowled and fielded very well and a couple of dropped Catches were not punished as asif and Daniel made further inroads
Asif with excellent figures of 3 for 20 off 14 overs 6 maidens and Daniel 2 for 23 off 13 overs 7 maidens plus 2 Catches in the field..inderjeet came back on and took the final wicket to finish with figures of 3 for 15 off 7 pt 1 overs and Felix took 2 for 6 off 7 overs and braywood who'd tried to hold out were 70 all out in 41pt 1 overs excellent spells by all 4 bowlers.with 58 overs to score the runs pinner opened with alan carter and new player jack smith.alan was adjudged low for 4 and ravi pandya also got the umpires finger to depart for 3 leaving pinner 16 for 2 almost a mirror image of the braywood start.however jack smith with excellent footwork and confidence in his judgement of braywood bowling attack aggressively set about there attack in merciless fashion with 58 not out 7 X 4 2 X 6 his 50 in 32 balls with well placed shots and hard hits and.from our point of view it was so good to watch his excellent innings and he won all of us over especially getting Abdul majeed to run a 3 Which As Abdul Hadnt Hit THE Ball was greeted with loud cheering which faded as Abdul was getting his breath back to recover .Abdul finished 8 not out as pinner knocked off the required runs in 9pt 5 overs the match finishing at approximately 4 50pm as pinner raced to an 8 wicket win.braywood swiftly departed montesole after the game though one of their players went into our bar,they bought there own food with them and 2 had gone to fletchers fish and chips during there innings. This is the first team in this Chiltern league for me who bought back so many bad memories of our previous middlesex championship league oppos basically leaving pinner at games end bringing there own food with them and no socialising I hope it's a one off.Before the game I was interviewed as was Daniel and a few of our players by radio bbc 4 for a show that will be broadcast in July uncertain of exactly when but we will be informed and Daniel will update when known
