Match report The first x1 journeyed to knotty green near Beaconsfield Buckinghamshire today Knowing that rain was forcast in that area from 2pm onwards and there was a very high chance the game wouldn't see the full course unless exceptional circumstances came to the fore. We lost the toss and were unsurprisingly invited to bat with alan carter and jack smith opening and the ball moving about as both batsmen were dropped in the 2nd and 3rd overs before jack clipped one through to the keeper 17 for 1 jack 10 1 x4 1x 6 . Enter Norman williams with alan and they both started to play shots until the score reached 70 before alan 32 5 X 4 1 X 6 49 balls departed for 32 and a 53 partnership with Norman. Mike Windowson the kgcc 6 foot plus opener bowled an excellent spell going for 35 runs in 15 overs 4 maidens but any bad ball he bowled and there wernt many were sent to the boundary. In his last over Norman hit 1 X 4 1 X 6. John hymers our adopted geordie with useful shots and application with nudges and good leg side dispatches to the boundary with Norman In Full Flow and these two put on 100 before at 170 John departed for 26 5 X 4 playing a back seat role but in terms of league cricket innings just what was needed excellent in partnership . Enter Abdul majeed (slapper) who as usual went after the bowling attack with aggression and scored a 44 not out in 30 balls 5 X 4 2 X 6 .Norman who batted for just over 40 overs scored an excellent 106 not out 16 X 4 2 X 6 134 balls 140 minutes.at 236 for 3 and Norman at crease from 17 for 1 after 47 overs and an unbeaten partnership of 63 between Norman and abdul the rain was not good and the umpires called a halt which then after a few minutes Daniel decided to declare the innings and tea was taken. However with no sign of the rain stopping which halted the innings at 3 43 pm at 4 45pm the umpires called it a day the captains shook hands and the match was duly abandoned( 50 in 14 overs 48 mins 100 in 10 overs 36 mins,150 in 8 overs 36 mins 200 in 9pt 1 overs 27 mins)
