Match report Pinner 2's hosted Little Marlow 2's at The Montesole Oval on a blustery day to play their first league of the season.
Winning the toss and opting to bat, the Lambs got off to a solid start, with Robert Fells (18) and Simon Pilsbury (27) putting on 53. Sikander Merchant (63) came in and batted with maturity sharing two good partnerships, firstly with Cyrus Barrett (14) and then Tino Mahendram (21). The loss of quick wickets after this showed how important these knocks were and Pinner finished on a competitive 182.
After the usual wonderful tea from Lisa Noel, Pinner took to the field. With Varun Gopalakrishnan (5 - 30) striking in his first over Little Marlow never looked likely to threaten the total. Shaji Thomas (5 - 45) joined the party as bowling changes proved irrelevant. Catches were held with Waris Khan taking 2 and Sikander and Akhil Dabasia taking one each as the visitors crumbled to 75 all out.
So a fine team performance enabling the Lambs to pick up 29 points and stay at the top of the table.
