Match report What a glorious day today was and topped off with a 4 wicket win for our Sunday X1 v Wealdstone Corinthians cc at montesole playing fields in a 40 overs per side match.pinner had 4 under 15 colts playing and 1 under 11 and they all played their part in our victory. Captain Ravi pandya won the toss and invited the visitors to take first knock. Nick Lawrence with akhil dabasia 5 overs 3 maidens 0 for 7 opened the Pinner attack and Nick 5 overs 1 maiden 1 for 17 took the first wicket at 20 for 1 in the 5th over. Then und 15 left arm spinner Rhian Patel joined the attack and struck in his first 2nd and 5 overs with devastating debut wickets for the adults to reduce the visitors to 56 for 4 after 20 overs.his figures an impressive 5 overs 2 wicket maidens and 3 wickets for 9 runs. The Corinthians innings was dotted with batsmen seeming to be set and then departing before carrying out further damage and with mateen Choudhry 5 overs 1 maiden 2 wickets for 10 runs slumped to 74 for 6 ,Ravi pandya joined the attack and struck twice 84 for 8 with then under 13 Jamie carter on debut taking his first adult wicket to finish 1 for 5 off 3 overs 87 for 9. Ravi cleaned up the last batsmen to finish with 4pt 3 overs o maidens 3 wickets for 9 runs and Corinthians all out for 89 off 33 pt 3 overs. Jamie and under 15 akhil both held good catches as did Rakesh dabasia diving forward ,only 3 visitors clark 15 ,brown 14 and Marva 20 reached double figures. Ravi used 8 bowlers and 4 colts bowled with Colt Kieran carter keeping excellently only conceding 2 byes. Lisa's teas were served up and then it was back to business with Ravi pandya and zaydaan chowdrhy Colt opening in pinners reply unfortunately zaydaan after playing a little nervously went for a duck 14 for 1.ravi set about the bowling with 6 x 4 before he was out for 30 at 42 for 2 .akhil went for a duck 46 for 3 but Kieran Carter was batting well and seemed to be set after facing 31 balls but he then unlucky for some on 13 departed 53 for 4.Rob Harrison and Nick lawrence both looked set before Nick was clean bowled for 22 at 69 for 5 .This bought Jamie carter to the crease and he got 3 runs before he fell run out 84 for 6 .Rob Harrison got 15 not out with good footwork and patience and it was rhian patel who struck the 2 runs to see us to our 4 wicket victory .Im sure for all of us there today it was so good to see the talent we have coming into our adult X1s and there's more in the wings to come.Akshay smarth corinthians captain took 3 wickets for 18 off 7pt 4 overs 2 maidens and was the main wicket taker as we took the victory today after 21pt 4 overs.our visitors enjoyed our club and stayed for an after match drink and chat and have been made aware that they are welcome to return to Pinner cc for return fixture when that arrangement can be made
