Match report Holyport cc 2nd x1 from Maidenhead Berkshire made There way to montesole playing fields to take on our 2 nd x1 and pre game a 1 15 pm start time had been arranged .Rob bonneywell resumed duty as captain after missing recent games due to injury and duly won the toss and had no hesitation to bat first and play started at 1 20 pm with holyport with 9 players and 2 on route who joined the fielding team after 3 overs after arrival.Rob fells opened with Simon Pilsbury and hit a quick fire 15 before departing lbw 20 for 1 in the 2 nd over ,jack tucker came in at 3 and was caught for 5 in the 4 th over with incredibly 45 for 2 on the board with 2 x 5 wides helping the score along.Adam rissen went in at 4 with Simon taking on the anchor role and Adam hit the ball 4 x 4 before perishing due to an underhit shot 60 for 3 for 17 incredibly after 8 overs with byes and wide extras prominent in that total.pinner needed to stabilise and cyrus Barrett at 5 made sure he did just that.A 14 over partnership of 70 was ended with simon pilsbury departing for 9 but he had stayed there with mostly extras totting up and cyrus nicely playing drives to the boundary Pinner now 130 for 4 22 overs.pinner had 25 overs to bat and holyport with no spinners had bowled there overs at an extremely slow rate enter Shakib miskeenmal with a couple of fours before his stumps were knocked back 146 for 5 24 overs .pinner still had 23 overs to bat and at this stage 240 / 250 was looking a likely score barring collapse .Enter krishnan radhakrishan to the arena and both he and cyrus set about the holyport attack with no balls and wides and byes amazingly just under 50 at this stage.Cyrus reached his 50 and in the same over extras reached the same number.Cyrus succumbed at 201 for 6 with 65 12 x 4 100 balls 115 minutes in the 34 th over as Shane o Sullivan entered the game .Krishnan batted sensibly but aggressively with selective hitting and these 2 put on 59 for the 7 th wicket before Shane 25 20 balls 33 mins 5 x4 was caught attempting to score another boundary so 260 for 7 after 41 overs.dan downer came out and slapped a couple of 4s with krishnan in full aggressive mode also hit hard and incredibly pinner reached a league record of 304 for 7 after 43 pt 4 overs till rob declared the pinner innings.krishan scored 78 not out in 59 balls 89 minutes 15 x 4 dan downer 9 not out was added to by an incredible 73 extras 4 nb ,38 wides 3 leg byes and 28 byes with holyport giving us an extra 28 balls 4 pt 4 overs .Holyport wicket takers were fayaz Hussain 9 overs 0 mdns 2 wickets for 40 runs, Mohammed afridi 4 overs 0 mdns 1 wkt for 15 runs ,Tristan head 11 pt 4 overs 0 mdns 3 wkts for 72 runs and hashim sulaman 3 overs 0 mdns 1 for 36 runs . Tea was taken with Lisa serving up her usual tasty selection and cheers during the afternoon 2 extremely loud ones meant the england football team had won in Russia v Sweden luvvly jubbly well pleased with that on top of our batting performance . Holyport had 46 overs to bat and 13 year old colt mannus Avula opened up with dan downer and incredibly holyport‘s day got even worse as mannas struck twice and dan downer thrice to reduce them to 11 for 5 and blown away after 6 overs.fayaz Hussain and hashim sulaman went on the attack and took the score up to 50 for 6 before Rob bonneywell bowled hashim for 24 in 25 balls 23 minutes .Tristan head joined fayaz Hussain and these 2 took on the pinner attack with application to the carnage that had destroyed holyport’s reply,They put on 65 runs and had reached 115 till Rob bonneywell struck again removing fayzal for 39 in 55 balls 88 minutes and Pinner were now ready to finish off business .Mannas returned to the attack first with a dot ball then afridi hit a 4 and a 6 but this is where mannas 13 years old showed great maturity in cleverly bowling a slower ball and knocking back afridi‘s stumps and rob bonneywell trapped lbw Tristan head 35 in 45 balls 65 minutes .This left krishnan to return and it was he who took the 10th wickets the holyport innings ended after 30 overs 146 all out and a crushing 158 run victory for Pinner today,Wicket takers for Pinner were dan downer 5 overs 1 mdn 3 wkts for 30 runs ,mannus avula on debut 7 overs 0 mdns 3 wkts for 37 runs with a fine catch off rob‘s bowling.rob bonneywell 6 overs 0 mdns 3 wkts for 26 runs and krishan radakrishan 5 overs 1 mdn 1 wicket for 13 runs .The game was played in a good spirit ,what more could we ask for sunshine,a record pinner league score ,an emphatic 158 run victory and 30 points and the england football team into the semi final of the World Cup happy days
