Match report A first ever visit to little gaddesden cc 1st x1 led to ultimate victory today for skipper Daniel langan and his team .little gaddesden won the toss and elected to field.The home bowlers bowled a good line and length but at 99 for 4 after 27 overs pinner had to be happy to be looking to post a likely 190 plus.Rohitesh dhawan 40 in 75 balls 91 minutes, hari ramachandran 30 in 49 balls both enjoyed dominance of the crease till the home team struck back and pinner found themselves 138 for 8 .James baker 19 and ravi pandya 16 and a tail wag saw pinner 155 all out in 43pt overs. The highlight was a 3 rd wicket partnership between rohitesh and hari of 57 and yes runs were on the board but the feeling had to be we would have to get our bowling discipline spot on and fielders on there uppers. Buesst 2 for 21, jones 2 for 38 , shedd 1 for 15 ,a run out and star of the lgcc bowling attack stevenson 4 for 26 did take the wickets for lgcc and All seemed set for tea but as I finished off my scorebook as the home umpire walked past I thought I heard him say we are going back out before tea is to be taken.Then I saw our players out in the middle waiting for the 2 home batsmen to arrive for over 10 minutes .Raahul opened the bowling and in his first over he took a wicket 6 for 1 then tea taken.After tea Nick Lawrence struck 14 for 2 before Odedra 21 and buesst 25 set about the pinner bowling only to see Nick and Salman moeenidden seeing to there departures 60 for 4 13 overs .Then a heavy downpour saw a dash for the pavilion and covers on the square rushed into position.At 6 25 pm an hour of play had been lost and the umpire instructed the scorers that lgcc had 37 overs total to score 129 runs for victory so 69 runs to score 6 wickets and 24 overs to achieve victory. This is when Nick and Salman stepped up to the plate as both took 4 wickets to reduce lgcc to 77 for 9 with good back up by our fielders as the home team were ruthlessly torn asunder.A tail wag saw lgcc all out for 101 and a 27 run victory for pinner as Rahul struck the killer final knock out blow .nick took 4 wickets for 28 off 12 overs,Salman 4 wickets for 24 runs off 8 overs and Raahul 2 wickets for 37 runs off 5pt 4 overs .The game was played in good spirit ,the tea was a buffet tea with no sandwiches but a lot of cakes,pastries and crisps and hot macaroni cheese plus mini sausages ,we stayed as a team for a while after the game before making the journey of just over 20 miles back to pinner in triumphant mood after the previous weeks disappointment
