Match report Rash strokes by several batsmen contributed to Pinner's downfall against Botany Bay when a win, or at least a draw, had looked a certainty for much of the match. Botany Bay had declared at 172/7 with Finbarr O'Connor returning to form with 4/45. In reply Pinner's innings was based around Tony Taylor's 73, but other batsmen were unable to stay with him and once he was out, the writing was on the wall and Pinner were dismissed for 143.
