Match report Penn and Tyler's green 2nd X1 made the journey from Buckinghamshire today to montesole and I asked for a team list and the skipper gave me 10 names so a man down and with no umpire Leeroy was asked to do both ends which he agreed to do.daniel Langan in winning the toss on this hot day had no hesitation in batting and Norman Williams and raj pandian opened up however a call mix up in the 3rd over saw raj run out for a duck and Pinner 7 for 1 . The oppositions 2 opening bowlers were bowling a good line and length as Norman and jonny hymers rebuilt the innings till at 44 for 2 jonny departed for a duck caught and bowled and incredibly Norman had 33 runs and with extras 11 so other than norm no other run scorer.Hari ramachandran came in and with the arrival of change bowling the shackles were lifted as Norman started to attack more and hari cautiously building an innings with positive shots As Pinner were 116 for 2 with drinks taken at 25 overs. After drinks Norman 70 was caught and a 76 run partnership ended at 120 for 3 when opinions were he had a ton plus in his grasp but it wasn't to be.Abdul majeed came in and him and hari both made some glorious shots till Abdul was caught for 30 and 172 for 4 and 52 partnership. Hari then took over with excellent shots to the boundary and with salman moeeniddin 13 a 62 run partnership 234 for 5 when salman departed.Hari was joined by rob Harrison making a ones league appearance 15 years after his last with instructions see hari to his ton and we want 260 which both were ultimately achieved.Hari's innings ended at 263 for 6 a magnificent 121 16 x 4 1 x 6 108 balls faced in 132 minutes and a quick golden for Ravi pandya and rob also out going for it saw pinner's innings close in the 48th over just as Daniel had hoped for at start of play 266 for 8 and Pinner with 52 overs to prize out the opposition. captain Elliot Scott 2 for 62 and Stephen powell 2 for 78 were the opposistions main wicket takers.The legendary Lisa Noel tea was then consumed and then it was penn and Tyler's green innings with 52 overs to bat.Asif Khan and Daniel Langan opened the bowling and it was asif who took the 1st wicket trapping an opener lbw bringing 7 for 1 Chris mason to the crease .daniel took himself off bringing on Nicholas lawrence who struck clean bowling the other opener 21 for 2 10 overs . Penn and Tyler's steadied and mason was going for his shots but then lawrence struck again skittling the stumps 47 for 3 18 overs drinks.asif was replaced by salman who took a wicket early in his spell 63 for 4 .mason carried on playing his game and went to 50 with good selective shots to the boundary but support for him was not forthcoming .abdul majeed joined the attack and struck 130 for 5 after 30 overs so with effectively a man missing 6 down. Daniel bought himself back on and in taking 2 wickets a bowled and an lbw Pinner were seeing the finish line.some resistance then took place and mason carried on with boundaries till at 142 Abdul struck and then salman 147 for 9 all out in 40 pt 5 overs with Chris mason stranded on 92 not out 19 x 4 100 balls faced in 135 minutes after an excellent fighting innings and Pinner a 119 run victory and a 30 point win.all 5 Pinner bowlers took wickets asif Khan 9 overs 3 maidens 1 wicket for 30 runs,Daniel Langan 9 overs 1 maiden 2 for 29 ,Nicholas Lawrence 8 overs 4 maidens 2 for 27 ,salman moeeniddin 6pt 5 overs 2 maidens 2 for 29 and finally Abdul majeed 8 overs 1 maiden 2 for 29 all excellent figures and a very good all round team performance ultimately rewarded with a brucie bonus of 30 points well done all onwards and upwards
