Match report Old merchant Taylor’s Sunday team visited montesole to take on Alan carter‘s angels,A negotiated toss saw pinner in the field for this 40 overs per team match.omt were indebted to skipper and opening bat kinal Patel who batted 135 minutes and 120 balls to hold together their innings scoring 62 runs in the process .Alan used 10 bowlers in all and ultimately had to be pleased to keep omt down to 181 for 9 and felt that his angels had enough fire power to see us through to victory.vora 32 and shah. 23 also contributed but as is the case often on a Sunday extras of 33 was omt 2nd top score as 11 no balls and 20 wides meant an extra 27 balls were bowled on top of the allotted 40 overs.pinner wicket takers were sachin ghogle ,alan carter ,omkar narvencar,Chris hull,a run out and star of the attack Ravi Pandya taking 4 wickets . Alan had pre match agreed to lending 4 of his usual angels to omt so Kavin soundarajan,waris Khan and alan’s Sons Kieran and Jamie faced pinner today .jamie and Kavin opened the bowling and Jamie struck twice to clean bowl Malik Qadir for 18 and dad Alan for 3 to have pinner in early trouble in the run chase..Shakib Miskeenmal scored 17 as pinner at 71 for 4 after 15 overs were on there way barring the loss of 2 quick wickets to victory.However omt tightened up there bowling and pinner had reached 82 for 4 at drinks 20 overs as Ravi Pandya and satinder shah cautiously built their innings.Then they both set about the task with satinder 49 in 73 balls 73 mins and man of the match Ravi 67 not out 73 balls 105 minutes 8 x 4 to see pinner through with a 108 run partnership halted with satinder lbw one run short of his half century.jamie carter 8 overs 1 maiden 2 wickets for 35 runs ,Moore 1 for 46 and Richards 2 for 10 plus a run out saw pinner 6 wickets down but winning by 4 wickets with 2 pt 5 overs to spare .Lisa prepared her usual fantastic variety of tea for both sets of players ,the game was played in a great spirit and Alan had made sure that all his team contributed to this victory
