Pinner Cricket Club Saturday 1st XI v The Lee on Sat 07 May 2016 at 11:00
Match was Drawn

Match report After a good drying week of sunshine and wind the ground today looked so much more ready and prepared for cricket today. That said at 12:50 pm only the lee cc skipper and 3 other players were at our ground so our captain Daniel agreed to delay the toss for this 1pm start league game.Approximately the other 7 players in 3 cars arrived about 12 :: 55 and the toss took place which pinner won and elected to bat The lee had 2 young quick bowlers 14,and 16 opening the bowling impressively with good pace and after 11pt. 3 overs pinner were 33 for 2.norman williams batted sensibly scoring 24 in 45 balls alan carter 13 plus 2 other of the top 6 out and at 61 for 4 the innings was in the balance with Abdul majeed and asif khan at the crease left of the top 6.abdul played his usual aggressive game scoring 41 whilst asif played a more subdued role but a vital one in the context of building pinner towards a good final total. Abdul scored 41 in 43 balls 5 X 4 and these two put on a 52 run partnership in 12 overs so 113 for 5.enter mateen chaudhry at 7 who tempered his normal aggressive batting at first to play himself in and this was to reap big reward for pinner we all know how destructive mateen can be on a bowling attack.91 was the partnership mateen scoring freely after cautious start with asif playing the anchor so well.mateen scored 58 5 X 4 in 72 minutes 66 balls with asif 54 not out in 115 balls 122 minutes 5 X 4 .so asif was at the crease 61 for 4 off 16 overs till 220 for 7 declared off 51pt 5 overs when a declaration was made. With 48 overs to bat The lee found themselves 38 for 2 off 10 overs when 2 young batsmen max hutt 72 in 98 balls and Jamie line 58 in 98 balls came together with a 94 run partnership to seemingly put their team with wickets in hand into a potential win situation and at 161 for 4 after 38 overs 60 runs were required at 6 an over with 6 wickets in hand.harsha poovaiah Had Taken 3 Wickets and Inderjeet 1 .Pinner Fought back With 2 Good Catches from Alan Carters safe hands and with 2 other wickets falling incredibly all 4 to inderjeet the lee were forced into survival for the last 2 overs finally finishing 192 for 8 inderjeet mirrored the fightback for us and finished with 5 wickets for 57( 4 wickets in his last 3 overs), harsha poovaiah 3 for 35 before leaving before games end for flight to bangalore .The game was played in a good spirit and the visitors had a drink before they left pinner.congratulations to our 2nd x1 with rob bonneywell injured kay mistry led the team chasing 203 to a 6 wicket victory at little Marlow cc our 2s 2nd win out of 2 games played well done to all and thank you to dave our young scorer at little Marlow hearing the twos who for a 3rd consecutive game next week are away again are so missing our clubs lisa noels legendary teas so so much it's hurting that said they are getting it right on the field of play well done to all hopefully a report of their match will follow soon well done all
