Littlewick Green 2 v Pinner Cricket Club Saturday 2nd XI on Sat 28 May 2016 at 13.00
Match was Drawn

Match report Pinner 2's took the journey to Littlewick Green, yet another picturesque ground in the Chiltern League. On a hot afternoon the order of the day was to win the toss and to bat first, both of which Pinner did.
A solid oping partnership of 74 in 17 overs laid the base for a good first innings. Rob (34) went first, bowled by a ball that nipped back but Andrew Maher continued the good work, scoring his first 50 for the club. Solid partnerships were the order of the day as the top 7 batsmen all scored double figures. Cyrus Barrett (39), Nicholas Lawrence (25) and Simon Pilsbury (25) all making the Green bowlers pay for short balls. Pinner declared an over early at 233-7, with the only blot being a pulled hamstring for Bob Harrison (15).
After a solid but unspectactular tea the Lambs took to the field with Nicholas Lawrence (1-20) and Navin Agarwal (2-59) opening and making early breakthroughs, assisted by a great catch by Dan Fozzi Foskett, which managed to surprise the batsman, the fielders and those watcing from the Cricketers Pub across the road!
After a smooth 4 overs from Dan Downer, Cyrus Barrett (4-16) came on and after a couple of overs came the over that nearly changed the game. After a snart caught and bowled on the first ball, Bob Harrison was heard to shout 'only two more in the next two for a hatrick' - boy, does he know his cricket! With a straight ball completely bambozling the number 6, the number 7 just had to keep out the next one. However it hit the pads, 11 Pinner players appealed and their umpire raised his finger to the delight of Cyrus, who is probably still telling Tracey about it as you read this! 8 runs followed in the next two balls before a Kam Mistry stumping meant that the over was 4 wickets for 8 runs - remarkable!
So despite regular changes in the bowling the Green spent the next 20 overs batting out for a draw and only a last over blitz from Bob Harrison who took a wicket from the first ball added some excitement.
All in all a great team performance, with no dropped chances and batsmen batting positively, meant Pinner were by far the better team on the day and just couldn't quite get the last 2 wickets.
Thanks to Leeroy for standing and let's have more of the same when we host Harpsden at Montesole next week.
