Match report Wembley cc our old opposition from many years ago sent there sunday x1 to montesole today and though our captain alan carter wanted a 40 40 it was agreed on a time game.wembley won the toss and losing 2 early wickets to nick Lawrence and varun singh I heard their skipper say Oh dear that's 2 of our 4 batsmen gone.pinner were always on top and alan used 10 bowlers as wembley finally declared on 136 for 9 off 48 overs.i say 48 overs but with 35 bowling extras 10 in no balls and 25 in wides an extra 4 pt 3 overs 27 balls were bowled as wembley faced 3 more balls than our saturday 1st x1 league team are permitted to bat. Nick Lawrence 1 for 14,varun singh 1 for 28,tallen neelakandan 1 for 22 ,rob bonneywell 2 for 13,navin agarwal 1 for 7, akhil dabasia 2 for 7 and a run out took the wembley wickets to fall.alan carter opened with anay lakhia and unfortunately young anay and number 3 Saif khan departed in the first over 1 for 2 and pinner straight on the back foot.alan carter had scored 18 when he was out at 30 for 3 and ravi pandya 16 at 48 4 4..This bought together rob bonneywell and navin agarwal who both batted with aplomb adapting to the situation and rob with 40 not out in 53 balls 70 minutes 6 X 4 and navin 53 not out in 39 balls 52 minutes 8 X 4 as these 2 put on a 91 run unbeaten partnership in just over 12 overs as pinner cruised to a 6 wicket win with 6 pt 3 overs to bat.crazily pinner would have only got 31 overs back in this time game scenario thankfully they didn't need to get a bigger run chase.This was our 2nd sunday victory in the current season and a very welcome and received one by our team today,however this Sunday x1 more importantly is introducing our colts to adult cricket which is so important for our club moving forward so well done our Sunday mini and senior lambs who played for our club today.wembley captain charlie meyers was very happy with our teas today as always he is so once again well done lisa noel for all your hard work in preparing them
