Match report meeting in car park today for trip to little Marlow daniel had said to me I'm thinking of batting first if I win the toss but in losing the toss their captain put Pinner in so taking it out of Daniels hands.Raj pandian and Norman williams opened and all was relatively OK till in the 16 th over raj 10
Then perished lbw 45for 1. Norman followed in the next over 28 2x4 1x6 45 for 2 .jonny hymers was lbw soon after at 3 for a duck then hari ramchandran and Abdul majeed steadied the innings till hari 7 lost his wicket 77 for 4 23 overs.Salman moeeniddin at 6 joined Abdul who launched 5x 4 1x 6 in his 31 before he departed 100 for 5 31 overs. Ravi pandya went for a duck 105 for 6 29 overs with Nick Lawrence falling at 118 for 7 32 overs and Pinner well and truly looking likely to be giving the home team extra overs and not a particularly big score to chase down .However all rounder Salman and Felix hoh both gave it their full application to our dire situation and Felix scored 15 in 54 balls and with salman putting on a valuable 53 partnership and lift spirits at 171 for 8 .in about 10 overs. Daniel Langan joined Salman at 10 and smashed his 2nd ball over mid wicket for 6 and then salman fully opened up as incredibly these 2 put on 57 in just over 9 overs as the returning little Marlow opening bowler went from 2 for 25 off 11 overs to 2 for 62 off 14 overs .Daniel had hit 3 x4 1x6 in his 29 228 for 9 and 1 ball later pinners innings ended on 232 for 9 wickets off 52 overs which was quite incredible after being 118 for 7 .salman batted exceptionally well after I had put 3 in his total after being bowled which was signalled as a no ball he got 69 not out in 67 balls 11x 4 1 X 6 127 minutes and we were all so thankful to reach that total and little Marlow were truly shell shot. umar Islam 2for62 off 11 overs Matt Wilson 3 for 42 8 overs and Mohammed yukumb 4 for 36 14 overs took the wickets for the home team.The home team had 48 overs to bat Pinner opened with the pace of harsha poovaih and 3 overs of spin from Daniel .Salman replaced Daniel and struck straightaway 22 for 1 8 overs with harsha striking next over 26 for 2 and again in the11th over 39 for 3 and Pinner on top .little Marlow dug in then and it was Nick Lawrence who struck 83 for 4 26 overs.felix hoh took Tahiir rashIid out lbw for 30 104 for 5 29 overs .Abdul majeed came on and got a wicket in his first over and with Nick getting 1 in his next over 105 for 7 .With the score at 122 Abdul got 2 quick wickets and the home side were now in deep trouble 122 for 9 39 overs.Now it was little Marlow who responded positively and their number 8 yakumb smashed our bowling to the boundary for 59 not out 6x4 4 x6 and a 47 unbeaten run partnership as the home side ended on 169 for 9 .pinners bowling figures were harsha 2 for 62 off 11 overs Daniel 0 for 15 off 8 overs Salman 1 for 23 off 8 overs ,felix 1for 21 off 5 overs,Nick 2 for 27 off 8 overs and Abdul 3 for 13 7 overs.leeroy Rogers umpired both ends as the home team didn't have an umpire and did an excellent job of it the game was played in good spirit and a good tea was served up
