Match report Leaving my house today after some rain which had just stopped and arriving at montesole it wasn't long after that the rain started again and the covers were put on the square.visitors little marlow arrived and it was their captain who won the toss and sent Pinner into bat.Daniel had decided that if he had won the toss he would have inserted the opposition into bat.The covers had been off for a while and the fielders were in posistion but then the rain started again and the covers were put back again.The rain stopped again and at 1 33 pm play started with the umpires deducting 3 overs off each team this meant Pinner could bat 49 and lmcc 45 in this now 94 over game.jonny hymers opened with Alan Carter and Pinner reached 16 before jonny was bowled for 10 after 6 overs.Alan Carter followed trapped lbw for 5 36 for 2 both falling to top end Mathew Wilson .jack tucker and salman were then later dismissed in the same over and Pinner slumped to 47 for 4 then nevan o Sullivan 4 Norman Williams 20 ,Nick Lawrence 12 and asif Khan 2 all perished and at 82 for 8 Pinner were in dire straights when Ravi pandya and Felix hoh came together and with ravi having a let off he punished lmcc with going into attack mode.A crucial 52 partnership was ended when Ravi 58 7 x 4 2 x 6 59 balls 76 minutes was caught at 134 for 9 and it was Daniel Langan 9 and Felix Hoh 9 not out who took Pinner to 151 all out in 43 pt 5 overs.Mathew Wilson 11 overs 2 maidens 2 for 35 ,assanka austin 2 overs 1 maiden 1 for 8 ,Arian sharif 5 overs 2 maidens 1 for 12 bowled well for lmcc but it was medium pacer Mohammed yaqoob with 13 pt 5 overs 3 maidens 6 for 31 who had dismantled the Pinner batting line up in 2 spells.However at 82 for 8 and no points to get to 151 meant Pinner had 3 batting points in the bag .lmcc 2 hard hitting openers went straight from the off on a now dried wicket and it was to be at 62 Nick Lawrence who removed opener anwar Mahmood for 29 .daniel Langan joined the attack but opener uzair Hussain was still attacking all our bowlers Daniel was to take 3 wickets for 38 runs off 11 overs including Hussain for 63 9 x 4 46 balls 67 minutes and asif 1 for 31 ,Ravi 1 for 26 with nick 1 for 22 .lmcc ended 154 for 6 to take 25 points whilst we took 3 batting 3 bowling points and when one considers a home draw with harpsden earlier in the season saw Pinner take only 3 points and others rained off taking 5 points we have to be happy with that.Yes we lost today but I'm proud of our boys fighting spirit which augers well for the challenges ahead that we don't go down without a fight .The away skipper admitted his winning the toss was crucial and that he was well aware that if he'd lost the toss this result could easily have gone against him.The game was played in a good spirit with Leeroy Rogers and Eric Atkinson lmcc both umpiring the game with aplomb.lisa prepared her usual fabulous tea enjoyed by all and now we look forward to the club v the presidents X1 next Saturday at montesole before resuming the chiltern league in a fortnights time
