Match report Our Sunday x1 welcomed local friends Northwood town cc to a sun decked montesole for a 40 overs game and on losing the toss dan downer skipper prepared his troops for fielding duties.raahul aggarwal opened the bowling with a good accurate spell reducing town to 27 for 3 with an lbw and 2 clean bowled before being taken out of the attack.Nishil mapara batted sensibly for the visitors when at 51 Shaji Thomas took out his fellow batter 51 for 4 18 overs.Dan bought himself on and clean bowled Mapara 22 and town had slumped to 61 for 5 21 overs.krunal Patel 22 came out and with selective hitting pulled town around to recovery and hopes of a 150 plus score.However from 90 for 5 off 27 overs Raahul was bought back on and two strikes consecutive and dan downer taking 3 wickets in his next over saw a dramatic collapse to 94 all out in 28 pt 5 overs 6 wickets went down for 4 runs.pinner used 7 bowlers but 3 took the wickets with Raahul taking 5 for 10 runs,dan 4 wickets for 5 runs and Shaji Thomas 1 for 8.incredibly Pinner were reduced to 6 for 4 in the 8th over before alan carter and des Hubert stopped the rot and had reached 38 before des was sent packing.This bought Raahul to the wicket and him and Alan carried on the recovery till alan perished for 27 at 55 for 6 after 21 overs.Enter mateen choudhry and he and Raahul both batted sensibly to score the runs to see pinner to a 4 wicket victory at 98 for 6 off 28 pt 1 overs .mateen finished 21 not out,Raahul 22 not out and coincidently after hitting a 6 to win the previous days league game Raahul hit a 4 to win this 40 over friendly.Both teams enjoyed their Lisa tea ,the game was played in a good spirit and the town as always stayed for a drink on a fabulous sunny day
