Match report We welcomed perivale phoenicians cc to montesole today our former opponents from the middlesex championship league over many seasons and a toss was not enacted as our opponents were offered to bat first today
.Both openers usman khan 40 in 66 balls and arshad khan 65 in 48 balls 13 X 4 batted confidently putting on a 112 partnership till in the 20th over ravi pandya struck to see to usman's departure.phil page joined the attack and took a wicket with ravi taking 2 more including arshad khan as 3 further wickets fell on 116 .However Robert francois 48 in 40 balls 8 X 4 and baltege tatler 73 not out in 62 balls 13 X 4 with a 5th wicket partnership of 98 took the game to 223 4 5 at 35 overs and at 255 for 5 after 40 overs this lessened pinners chances of a victory .pinner used 9 bowlers ravi took 3 for 31 off 6 overs,Phil page 1 for 39 off 7 overs and akhil dabasia 1 for 18 off 3 overs .nick Lawrence, shaji Thomas, Simon pilsbury,John hoh,Shane o 'sullivan, and anay lakhia bowled without success but gave it there best. Pinner opened with alan carter and ravi pandya,with ravi scoring 8 before departing and 3 further wickets nick Lawrence, Simon pilsbury and akhil dabasia fell as pinner slumped to 44 for 4.anay lakhia scored 20 looked at ease and joined alan in a 73 run partnership before anay departed. Alan batted 88 balls 10 X 4 for 65 a much needed boost for both us and him personally but pinner were never going to reach the 256 runs requied as he finally fell after an excellent innings.tino mahendram 11 ,shaji thomas 14 batted well but pinner were bowled out for 176 with 43 extras and amazingly a ball hitting the keepers helmet resulting in another 5 penalty run award for us whereas yesterday's was for holyport cc so 2 in a weekend and only the 5th I have ever recorded. The game was played in a good spirit ,as always both sets of players enjoyed a lisa noel tea.all in all this was a strong opposistion we faced today and losing by 79 runs was no disgrace
