Match report What a nail biting weekends cricket it has been after Saturdays tied game ,today in a cliffhanger pinner beat potter St & church langley cc from Chelmsford Essex (herts and essex league)by 1 wicket at pinner .conference fixtures can be tricky ones and you sometimes are a little unsure of opposition strengths.The visitors won the toss and batted, number 1 took a single first ball and seeing number 2 dispatch our opening bowler for a big 6 2nd ball and his first into the gated compound next to club house I thought oh dear.inderjeet gahunia 5 overs for 6 runs kept it tight but their opener hit a further 2 X 6 2 X 4 and was on 30 when he was out at 42 with 2 further wickets pegging the opposition to 42 for 3.we then never let the opposistion any comfortable scoring opportunity with good tight bowling and keen fielding .nick Lawrence 2 for 13,ravi pandya 3 for 20 ,sham sonpal 2 for 11,aryan thakrar 1 for 14 murali neelakandan 2 for 5 with akhil dabasia 4 overs and maison noel 4 overs all did well today as pinner bowled out the visitors for 122 in 31:1 overs of there allotted 40.with kieran carter keeping wicket conceding no byes well done kieran. pinner 61 for 5 after 20 overs the game was evenly poised at one time 0 for 2 18 for 3 so a recovery to take stock with meant pinner were well on the way to victory.2 of the opposition bowlers bowled 16 overs between them taking 6 wickets for 32 runs in excellent tight and we'll bowled spells .sham sonpal 19, in 51balls alan carter 10,kieran carter 16 runs in 17 balls,inderjeet gahunia 17,ravi pandya 10,however it was 2 colts there at the end as akhil dabasia struck the 3 runs that won pinner the game he scored 18 not out at 8 a very good knock 53 balls showing great application and concentration as pinner finished 123 for 9 with 16 balls remaining to win by 1 wicket in a game played in a great spirit .3 colts were in the team today and they all played a big part in our clubs win onwards and upwards come on the lambs!
