Match report Harrow Weald were the visitors today at montesole to play pinner sunday X1 including 4 colts.in glorious sunshine a negotiated toss saw the visitors batting and they were soon out of the blocks .Tahla butt and Simon Wolfe opened for Harrow Weald cc and had reached 63 when in the 12th over mateen Choudhri took the wicket of butt for 17 .This bought Shiraz Hussain into the game and him and Wolfe unleashed hard hit shots all round the ground putting on a 160 partnership in 21 overs before saif Khan trapped Hussain lbw for 80 11 x 4 76 balls and 223 for 2 33 overs.simon Wolfe was to reach the magic 3 figures all batsmen covet before 6 runs on the score later he hit a skier deep but not going to reach the boundary that returning captain Alan carter caught well off the bowling of anay lakhia and Wolfe 104 in 112 balls 13 x 4 1 x 6 152 minutes .Anay struck again after Harrow weald had plundered more runs to finish with 267 for 4 off their 40 overs. anay 8 overs 1 maiden 2 wickets for 36 ,mateen 6 overs 1 maiden 1 wicket for 52 and saif Khan 4 overs
0 maidens 1 for 36 took the wickets to fall .Alan who had a nasty accident with a cricket ball at bessborough deflected off his bat into his eye socket
and requiring surgery hadn't played since that early April day but helmeted up he opened the innings with murali neelakandan today in a helmet for the first time and adapted well to doing so.
