Match report As the club goes from strength to strength. Pinner were able to put out a 3rd XI thanks to everyone being available and Dan sourcing an opposition. We were away to Hatfield Hyde 4s who currently play in Regional C in the herts league which is the level Pinner 3s hope to play next year. After losing the toss we were surprisingly asked to bat first. Robert Fells and newcomer Manish opened up. Rob was unluckily bowled 4th ball of the innings by one that kept low. Sachin consolidated with Manish with both playing letting the ball come onto the bat and the ball shooting across the outfield for 4s. However, out of nothing Sachin on 13 demonstrating how not to run between the wickets, did not ground his bat or watch where the ball was and was run out by cover fielder for what should have been a comfortable single. Next up Adam Rissen who did what he does best. Hit ball high hard and far with 22 before as usual his downfall on a defensive shot as he was bowled. Rajesh came in hit a few nice boundaries before moving across his stumps and out lbw. Leaving Pinner 83 for 4, i am no6 streaky to get off the mark with slice through the slips then nearly made same mistake as sachin by not running bat it. Luckily foot was over the line. Before in partnership with Manish started to consolidate and regular rotate strike to give Pinner a launch pad for the last 10 overs. So this is what we did and at 30 overs Pinner were handily placed at 134 for 4. Then Manish turned on the turbo boosters dispatching the ball to all parts as in partnership as along with myself we put on another 92 in next 9 overs before Manish was out for 94 in the penultimate over. I was out for 73 in the last over. As Pinner finished 234 for 6 off 40 before the heavans opened and it chucked it down and the game was called off. Overall Pinner 3s can compete at this level, so hopefully all goes well for next season. Well done to all involved especially dom raj toby abid and chris who unfortunately due to the weather didnt get much of a game.
