Match report Old friends old merchant taylors Cc turned up at pinner today for a 2pm start whilst the home team were expectant of a 1pm start .At this stage of the season light wise it didn't matter and pinner winning the toss invited the visitors to bat and their openers were solid mizwer 25 and kinal Patel 59 in 100 balls putting on 81 run partnership by the start of the 20th over before Dan foskett 8 overs 3 for 33 broke it up claiming the visitors first 3 Wickets. Omtcc had turned up with 8 players and had prearranged that we would supply them 3 spares so ravi pandya,aaryun thakrar and a new member navan agarwal were offered.ravi pandya hit 35 in 30 balls and others chipped in as omtcc ended on 186 for 8 off their 40 overs.murali neelakandan 2 for 19 and Dan downer 3 for 23 and Dan foskett 3 for 33 took the wickets pinner using 8 bowlers..pinner tinkered with their batting line up and that clearly failed at 46 for 6 after 20 overs.with 141 needed for victory alan carter 65 in 74 balls and salmon moeeniddin 51 in 60 balls incredibly put on a 123 run partnership to 169 before the 7th wicket fell as pinner were at that stage having to score 9 an over to win.murali neelakandan got 14 opening and with carter and moeenidden THE Only 3 Batsmen Of The 11 To Attain Double Figures and both the latter out 15 off the last over was only 7 as pinner lost a game played in great spirit by 8 runs 22 total extras was 3rd top score.however at 46 for 6 at 20 overs 178 for 9 seemed a mountain to climb pinners young colt aaryan thakrar bowled 4 overs for omtcc and looks promising to filter into the senior system ravi and navan took a pinner wicket each in their spell. omt stayed for a beer
.and as lisa provides the teas for omtcc club on a regular basis throughout the season they felt at home today with her usual excellent mirror image of the teas she produces for us all at pinner as well as our visitors
